What is Ultrasonic Cavitation?

Ultrasonic or ultrasound cavitation is the use of ultrasound technology to break down fat cells below the skin. It is a non-surgical method of reducing cellulite and localized fat. 

This procedure involves applying pressure on fat cells through ultrasonic vibrations. The pressure is high enough to make the fat cells break down into a liquid form. The body can then get rid of it as waste through your urine.

Ultrasonic cavitation tones the body using radio frequencies and low-frequency ultrasonic waves. These waves form bubbles around fat deposits under the skin. The bubbles then burst, breaking the fat deposits into the interstitial and the lymphatic systems where they are drained. The fat deposits are changed into glycerol and free fatty acids. Glycerol is then reused by the body while free fatty acids travel to the liver and are excreted as waste.

  • Typically you can expect 1/4 to 2 inches of fat loss after the first treatment. Results vary depending on the area being treated and the person.

  • InstaSculpting is best used on areas of localized fat. This includes areas such as the upper arm, thighs, abdomen, hips, and buttocks. It can not be applied to bony areas such as the head or neck.

  • NO! You can go right back into your daily routine. We do recommend that your increase your water intake to two liters of water a day to help with fat removal.

  • The service is tailored to the individual. Generally however, most treatments are between 45 minutes to 75 minutes long. Multiple areas of the body can be treated during one session.

  • Most people will have a noticeable reduction in their measurements after the very first treatment! The fat removal process continues for up to one week following treatment, so it may decrease further a few days afterwards.

  • Ultrasonic Cavitation is a safe FDA approved procedure. Since the procedure is non-invasive there is no downtime. However, people with the following conditions should not have a procedure of this type:

    • Pregnant and breastfeeding women

    • Infection or inflammation in the region where the procedure will be done.

    • Individuals with a history of malignancies.

    • People with a cardiac pacemaker or other metal implants.

  • The destroyed fat cells do not grow back. The results of ultrasonic cavitation can last with continued weight maintenance activities and a proper diet.
